mTurk is a crowdsourcing platform that focuses on tasks that can't be completed by an artificial intelligence or a machine. These Human Intelligence Tasks (HITs) are posted on their platform and can be freely chosen by the user, most of them just take a few seconds to a few minutes.
Each HIT is different and pays a different amount, that's why you should choose wisely which HITs you are working on. A good way to find HITs that are worth it is HWTF.
Most HITs require a high accuracy and are double checked so make sure you work exact and pay attention, otherwise you rating might drop and some HITs might not be available to you anymore.
The mTurk program is still in it's beta stage, probably one of the reasons why it is only available in the US and India so far. I expect it to become available Internationally at some point in the future though. If you live in the US or India you can check it out right now, since it's hosted by Amazon it's definitely trustworthy.
